If we had to pick, hands down our favorite chocolates from around the world are the Japanese Kit Kats. Nearly every unique flavor we try has blown us a way. In fact, we've been trying to find a Kit Kat flavor from Japan that we don't like. So when we found the Matcha Green Tea and Azuki Bean Kit Kat, we hoped we had a winner. Can this possibly be the first Japanese Kit Kat that we don't like? Well, that's what we hope to find out tonight. For a little while now we've sold a Green Tea Kit Kat as well as a Red Bean Kit Kat. We really like them both. In fact, we have a hard time keeping the Green Tea Kit Kats in stock. The literally sell out with in a mater of days! For some reason, Nestle Japan thought it would be a good idea to basically combine the two. In another turn of events, they decided to offer them in their Big Little Kit Kat collection. Basically, they are bite size Kit Kat Pieces that are dipped into chocolate, creating a Kit Kat ball of sorts. They pack big flavor, in little pieces. In this scenario, the Matcha Green Tea flavor is infused with white chocolate and the Azuki bean is layer between the Kit Kat wafer. Sounds good? Well for the first time ever, we hope it's not! Now on with the taste test. Our testers tonight are among some of our most seasoned. For years now, they've been munching on the best (and worsts) snacks from around the world. We eagerly ripped open the bag and found 7 green Kit Kat balls. The smell from the package was very leafy. There is no mistaking the potent Matcha Green tea fragrance. First bite, almost all green tea. We actually didn't note the Azuki bean until the second and third bites. The chocolate is earthy with a hint of creaminess followed by a slight sweet sensation. When the bean flavor kicks in, you get a unique treat that is surprisingly pleasant and well rounded. So, as you may have guessed. Our search for a Japanese Kit Kat that we don't like continues. We actually liked the Matcha Green Tea and Azuki Bean Kit Kat, and we think you will too. However, we don't currently stock it yet! So you'll have to wait if it's the flavor you are searching for. Not to worry, click the button below and check out all the other great flavors we offer for sale here in the US with international shipping. As always, keep on snacking world!

World of Snacks currently offers the best snacks for sale online from 8 different countries with plans to add several more countries and many new snacks in the very near future. Currently some of our best selling items are Snacks from Korea. For this reason we are searching for additional Korean Snacks to add to our inventory. Tonight our international snack blog features a review of one item we are thinking about adding to our store. A company called Lotte produces the snack under review. We are very familiar with this multinational food producer and currently offer several of their snack items for sale in our international snack store. With headquarters in both South Korea and Japan they are a large company that produces many loved Asian Snacks and dabbles in many other lines of work including hotels, electronics, entertainment, and nearly anything you can think of. With everything they are involved in we sure are glad they still have time to make great snacks. The snack under review tonight is the Lotte Binch. Prior to opening our sample of the Lotte Binch Premium Chocolate Biscuits we did not know what to expect. First off the only English on the package reads “Binch” and there is a Lotte logo in the upper right corner. The rest of the text on the box is in Korean. The photos show cookies with chocolate on one side and a cracker biscuit on the other. So I guess we did know we were reviewing a cookie, but we definitely didn’t know they were individually wrapped in a rich matte paper with gold foil that really made us think we were in for a treat. So now we know how they look, let’s see how the Lotte Binch Biscuits taste! We’ve been fortunate enough to review cookies from all over the world. It’s rare we review a biscuit that we are unfamiliar with, so the chance to review Lotte Binch really did excite us. However the biscuit side of this snack is familiar to one of our team members. She grew up in Asia and said the Lotte Biscuit was a staple in her house and often paired with tea. The other reviewers have yet to try and Lotte Biscuits. So what did our team at World of Snacks think? We loved it! Every tester involved was pleased with the Lotte Binch and went back for more. The biscuit is crunchy, crispy, and slightly sweet. The chocolate is rich, creamy, and firm. It may be the best chocolate we have yet to sample out of Korea. This cookie is definitely one of our favorites from Asia. So will World of Snacks offer Lotte Binch Premium Chocolate Biscuits for sale online? Absolutely! In just a few days we will update our selection of Korean Biscuits to include this great snack! As long as Korean Snacks continue to sell well we will continue to expand our inventory.
Today our exploration through the best candy in the world takes us to Japan. We’ve offered a nice selection of Japanese Kit Kats for sale in the US in our international snack store. They’ve been a strong seller and foreign Kit Kats are part of the reason we started World of Snacks, so needless to say we are excited for a chance to review this Japanese Kit Kat. However, we are sad to learn that once our stock is sold out the Japanese Rum Raisin Kit Kats will no longer be produced by Nestle. So if you are thinking about giving these a try, now is the time to do so! Let’s take a closer look. The Japanese Rum Raisin Kit Kats come in very upscale box featuring 12 mini bars. At one time we offered the entire box sets for sale but with limited stock and high demand we’ve had to offer the mini bars individually. Not to mention the box sets are very pricey! Anyway, the packaging reflects the price. The mini bars are sky blue trimmed in a darker blue. The center features a red Nestle Kit Kat logo and there is a pile of raisins in the corner next to glass with rum in it. Now onto the taste test of the Japanese Rum Raisin Kit Kats. We’ve been fortunate to test a variety of Kit Kats from Japan and elsewhere in the world. So far we have not found a Kit Kat that we did not love. The Japanese Kit Kats are among some of the most flavorful and delicious snacks we’ve ever encountered. So does this foreign Kit Kat fall in line with the rest? Yes! It’s so good it’s nearly unbelievable. Nestle has nailed the Rum Raisin flavor, all the way down to the after burn of rum. The chocolate is so creamy and smooth, the wafer is crisp as always, but the rum raisin combo is beyond perfect. I know it sounds like we are trying to sell you but to be honest we hope you don’t buy any, we want to keep them for ourselves! As mentioned our stock of this Japanese Kit Kats is among the last offered for sale. Several other of the limited edition Kit Kats are on their way out. Not to worry, we do have some other exciting flavors on the way and we’ve just received a shipment of Pumpkin Pudding Kit Kats that are perfect for Halloween! In addition to offering Kit Kats from Japan here in the US we are expanding our Japanese Snack selection to include a variety of items in the next few weeks. If you’d like to stay up-to-date with our specials and international snacks be sure to leave your details to the right. Keep on snacking world! At World of Snacks we’ve been lucky enough to sample the best cookies, cakes, candies, chocolates, and treats from around the world. One snack item that we’ve failed to give enough attention to is drinks. We are still trying to decide if we will actually offer drinks in our international snack store. While we explore the logistics of offering foreign drinks for sale in the US we plan on at least sampling a few for review here on our blog. So today we are looking at the Nestle Milo Energy Drink.
Our version of the Nestle Milk Energy Drink comes in a shiny green can, about the size of a normal US Red Bull Energy Drink. The Nestle logo is in the top corner just above the Milo logo. Below the can reads “Chocolate Nutritional Energy Drink.” The middle of the can shows an athlete of some sort, maybe cricket or football (soccer), wearing a Milo uniform. The bottom right corner mentions that the drink contains vitamins and minerals. Now onto the taste test portion of our review. Personally I tend to avoid energy drinks. I do enjoy coffee and a little caffeine on occasion but for the most part I prefer other beverages. So for the review of the Nestle Milo Energy Drink I consulted with several serious energy drink enthusiasts. My personal experience was very enjoyable. It tastes a lot like another Nestle product known as Ovaltine. It hints towards a watered down chocolate milk with a little boost of energy. So what did our panel of experts think? They all enjoyed it too, not one negative comment! So will World of Snacks offer Nestle Milo Energy Drink for sale in the US? We still don’t know! Once we do we will be sure to let everyone know. Be sure to leave your details to the right and we will update you if we add this snack and as we add others from around the world. Until then be sure to check out our International Snack Store! Our goal at World of Snacks is to become the largest one-stop shop for international snacks. We spent our first year in business trekking through 34 different countries to locate the very best snacks in the world. Now in our second year of business, we have created our online international snack store. In January we started with snacks from England and each month this year we have and will continue to expand our inventory by one new country. Last month we added Japanese Snacks, or to be more precise Kit Kats from Japan. Instantly they’ve become a hit, so we are expanding to include all the rare an exotic flavors we can find. Tonight our review is of our newest addition to our Japanese Kit Kat store. Let’s take a look at the limited edition Japanese Citrus Kit Kat, or more formally the Kankitsu Ogon Blend. Chances are you are not able to translate Japanese. Well, they were kind of enough to translate right on the box. Kankitsu Ogon Blend translates into English as Citrus Golden Blend Flavor. Our sample comes in a very high-end box that contains 12 individually wrapped mini Kit Kat chocolate bars. The cover of the box features the Nestle Kit Kat logo (not Hershey as in the US) and in addition to a ton of Japanese writing it shows images of a slide orange, lemon, and lime. The individually wrapped mini Kit Kat bars are packaged to reflect the box. Overall we think the Japanese Citrus Blend Kit Kats look pretty classy. Let’s taste them and see if they really are classy… or at least delicious!
If you are one of our thousands of snack blog followers you know we tend to close with a determination if we will stock this snack or not in our online snack shop. Well, this one just arrived and if you want to try it (which you better) we have a few offered for sale. This is a very rare limited edition Kit Kat imported from Japan. So if white chocolate citrus sounds enticing got you, order the Citrus Golden Blend Kit Kat online now! If you’d like to be notified of our progress as we expand our store be sure to leave your details to the right. Keep on snacking world! Over the past year and a half World of Snacks has been seeking out the best snacks from around the world. We’ve sample cookies, cakes, chocolates, chips, and candies from 34 different countries. At the beginning of 2014 we launched our international snack store and began selling candy from England online. Each month since we’ve expanded our selection to include a new country. Last month we started selling Mexican Snacks online. The country that we are most excited about adding to our inventory is Japan and beginning next month we will offer a very limited run of Japanese snacks for sale online. What will these snacks be? Japanese Kit Kats! Although we are going to expand to include a larger range of snacks from Japan in just a few weeks we will launch our Japanese Kit Kat store and being selling these nearly impossible to find flavors here in the US with shipping around the world. If you are one of the thousands of snack enthusiasts that keep up with our blog you’ll remember we’ve reviewed a few unique Japanese Kit Kats. Our favorite so far is the Vanilla Ice Cream Kit Kat. Unfortunately we will not offer this exact flavor for sale at the current time but we will offer 15 others! One of the flavors of Japanese Kit Kats that will be sold here in the US in our store is the Green Tea Kit Kat. So let’s take a closer look at this foreign flavor. To keep things affordable and to be able to offer a variety of flavors, our store will only launch with individual mini Kit Kats from Japan for sale. Our reviewed snack from Japan tonight is one such item. The packaging of the Green Tea Kit Kat is green, with a gold foil trim on each end. The Nestle Kit Kat Logo is their trademark red and there are some Japanese charters on the package. The larger bag this version comes in is similar but has an overview of a cup of hot green tea. It’s not a review unless we do a taste test, so let’s sample the Green Tea Kit Kat from Japan!
So there you have it. In the next few weeks we will launch our Online Japanese Kit Kat store with 15 flavors and expand to include other snacks from Japan shortly after. If you’d like to be invited to a sneak peak prior to our official grand opening, be sure to leave your details the right. As always, keep on snacking world! Over the past year and a quarter we have dedicated much of our focus to locating the best snacks in the world. So far we have traversed through 34 different countries and sampled their best cookies, chocolates, chips, and sweets. One snack item we have grossly neglected is sodas. Sure, soda is definitely junk food; therefore we can getaway with calling it a snack. The reason for our lack of international soda reviews if because they are far less easy to store and ship around the world. Never the less, tonight we are reviewing a soda imported from Japan.
When we initially unscrewed the resealable top we did not get the traditional pop and fizz associated with soda in the United States. That led us to double-check the due date, and it’s still good. We then decided to pour some into a glass, for better photos and to determine exactly what we were about to consume. It appeared to separate the soda water from the actual contents, leading us to think it needed to be shaken, and that was not the case. Although it looked a little foreign to us, we were pleasantly surprised by the taste. UCC Melon Creamy Soda is delicious, in an unfamiliar way. It’s smooth, sweet, with a little sour tinge at the end. It is carbonated, but only mildly. It also contains evaporated skim milk, so it’s creamier than its distantly related American counterpart. Overall we were very pleased and all reviewers agreed they would enjoy drinking this Japanese snack again. Will World of Snacks offer the UCC Melon Creamy Soda in our international snack store when it expands to include snacks from Japan later this year? Not at first. There are many Japanese sodas that we would love to offer for sale in the USA with worldwide shipping, but we feel this would be a better expansion in the future. If you are searching for Japanese Snacks be sure to leave your details to the right. We will be sure to provide updates and special offers. If you are eager to try some foreign snacks right now, visit our international snack store. We currently feature several counties and plan to add a new country each month. Keep on snacking world! We created our international snack blog about 14 months ago in order to track our progress as we sought out the very best snacks from around the world. At the beginning of this year we started to offer these discovered foreign snacks for sale in our international snack store. Each month this year we are expanding our store to include a new country and their snacks. This month we added German Snacks and next month, we will offer Mexican Snacks for Sale Online. What is to follow? We are not sure yet, but we do know Snacks from Japan are on the top of the list. So tonight, we are reviewing a Japanese Snack, the Shirakiku Marukyo Meisaku. Japan and their unique and unusual flavored snacks are one of the reasons we decided to start World of Snacks. So far we’ve reviewed some Japanese Kit Kats and even Pizza Flavored Doritos. A snack class we’ve neglected though are traditional Japanese snacks. That’s why were excited to discover this tray of assorted baked bean cakes. Baked bean cakes are unheard of in the United States, but are wildly popular in many Asian countries. Being our household includes an authentic Asian person, it is a snack my family enjoys on many occasions. Let’s take a closer look at the Shirakiku Baked Bean Cakes.
We carefully analyzed each cake individually with our initial goal being we wanted to review each bean treat one at a time. After sampling the assortment of cakes, we quickly realized that they are far too similar to dedicate individual reviews and/or blog articles to. What do they taste like? Well, the Shirakiku Marukyo Meisaku Baked Bean Cakes taste like… bean cakes. It’s a pastry of sort with a ground bean filling. From what we can tell the flavors include plum, lime, sesame, traditional, and sweetened. If you can read Japanese or are familiar with Shirakiku Marukyo Meisaku please let us know below if we have the flavors right. Overall we did enjoy this snack, we just wished it had a little more variety. All the flavors were very subtle, and often difficult to determine. Will World of Snacks offer Shirakiku Meisaku Baked Bean Cakes for sale online when our store is expanded to include Japanese snacks? Not at first. This foreign snack requires refrigeration and although our warehouse is heated and cooled, we have yet to add refrigerators or freezers. If you are searching for Japanese Snacks for Sale Online then be sure to leave your details to the right. If you are looking for international snacks now, than take a look at our store and view our current inventory. Keep on snacking world! World of Snacks was created to explore cultures through food. As a child traveling throughout Europe and North American I personally encountered unique treats (and experiences) that I now want to share with my family. In addition to the snacks I previously discovered, our company now seeks out all of the best cookies, cakes, chocolates, chips, gums, and all types of snack foods from around the world. Since we began our exploration of snacks just over a year ago no country has intrigued us more than Japan, and no other snack items has us more excited than Japanese Kit Kats. Our international snack blog has reviewed some very delicious Kit Kats out of Japan with my personal favorites being the Blueberry Cheesecake Kit Kat and the Vanilla Ice Cream Kit Kat. Today the snack under review is the Hazelnut Kit Kat, not to be confused with British Hazelnut Cream Kit Kat. Let’s take a closer look. The Japanese Hazelnut Kit Kat Comes in a brownish red package with a gold trim. The images hosted on the wrapper are a wireframe globe, some melted and milky chocolate, and two small hazelnuts. The classic Nestle Kit Kat logo is in the center. For our American followers, Nestle produced the Kit Kat to the rest of the world; we are the only country to have a Hershey Kit Kat. Of course the wrapper also has some Japanese Charters and the world Hazelnut across the bottom. Now on to the taste test of the Hazelnut Kit Kat from Japan! Our sample group today consisted of 6 adults, one female and five males all aged between 25-35. Unanimously all testers truly enjoyed this snack. So what does it taste like? Well, simply put it tastes like an improved version on the classic Kit Kat. The hazelnut is very subtle, almost hard to distinguish, but that is OK. It compliments the snack nicely and gives the Kit Kat a rich and creamy presentation. None of the tasters were particularly fond of hazelnut flavoring but all loved the Hazelnut Kit Kat from Japan and asked for more! Will World of Snacks offer the Japanese Hazelnut Kit Kat in our international snack store? For sure! We are excited to offer all the foreign flavors of Kit Kats we can get our hands on. Later this year we will expand our offerings to include snacks from Japan. Each month this year we will add a new country to our store. Being we are still in the first month, we currently only have British Snacks for sale online. Follow along as we grow and leave your details to the right to stay updated on our progress. Keep on snacking world! When we decided to open an online store and international snack blog one of the most exciting countries we wanted to explore was Japan. For many years we’ve heard rumors of outrageous flavors of snack brands that are based out of the US. Well, the rumors are true and we are several reviews into delicious and rare snacks from Japan. We hope to add Japanese snacks to our inventory later in the year. Until then, we will continue to highlight some of our findings and narrow down our inventory selection. Our snack imported from Japan under review today is made by Doritos. Doritos has an interesting history. They came about in Casa De Fritos, a Mexican restaurant in Disneyland. The restaurant produced their in-house chip until a distributor asked to take them regionally to other restaurants. They caught on and two years later Doritos were mass-produced and offered for sale all over America. Today they are among the best selling chips in the world and come in a variety of flavor in the US and across the world. Our review today is of a rare flavor that is only available in Japan. Let’s take a look at Pizza-La Doritos. Our sample for our snack review is a fairly large single serving bag. Pizza-La is the largest delivery chain of pizza in Japan and their logo is placed across the top in a white bar. Under the name “Pizza-La” the package reads “All the taste and topping you want on a pizza straight from our oven to your door.” Under that there is a supreme pizza, a gold triangle that reads “Get’s” and a profile of a smiling man that reads “Open up with your Smile.” We tried to open with our smile, without any luck we decided to rip them open and start our taste test.
Will World of Snacks offer the Pizza-La Doritos in the US and shipped worldwide? We definitely hope so. We want to carry every single flavor offered in Japan. We previously lined up a suppler in Japan and had everything set to go but unfortunately the arrangement fell apart. We are currently in negotiations with others. Until then, why not try some of our British Snacks? If you’d like to be notified when our Japanese Snacks are added to our store be sure to leave your details to the right. |
