Today our international snack blog is reviewing a chocolate bar produced by German based and Austrian founded Milka. This isn’t our first review of a Milka Chocolate Bar, earlier this year we took a close look at the Milka Oreo Cookie Bar and we absolutely loved it! So what does World of Snacks think of the Milka Marzipan Crème Chocolate Bar? First, what is Marzipan? We thought we knew. Our impression was that it’s Europe’s version of peanut butter, something that is oddly missing overseas. We were greatly mistaken. Marzipan is a sweet mixture made of sugar or honey and almond meal. Now that’s out of the way, let’s take a closer look at Milka Marzipan Crème. Milka produces a range of size of their chocolate bars. You can get anything from extra small to massive. Our sample of the Milka Marzipan Creme weighs in at 100 grams and is a big chocolate bar by American standards but is actually a medium sized candy bar according to Milka themselves. Our bar is contained in a light purple wrapper and featured their trade mark logo and the company mascot, a purple cow. To the right there is some German with the wordz “Marzipan An-Crème” easily translatable. There’s also a picture of a few pieces of the chocolate bar and what we thought were peanuts. We now know they are almonds. On to the taste test!
Earlier this year we launched our international snack store and each month in 2014 we are expanding to include a new country and their best snacks. A few months back we added German Snacks and the Milka Marzipan Crème is one of the snacks we offer for sale online. Check out the best snacks from around the world on our website and leave your details to the right if you want to stay in touch. Keep on snacking world!

We love British Chocolate Bars! Chances are if you are taking time to read our review of the Cadbury Wispa you do too. World of Snacks features the best snacks from around the world. Last year we spend our time reviewing an assortment of chocolates, candies, chips, and cookies from 34 different countries. This year we created our international snack store and each month this year we are expanding our store to include a new country’s snacks. Next month we will begin selling snacks from the Philippines. Until then, why not take a look at one of our best-selling British chocolate bars. If you are a fan of British Chocolate than there is absolutely no way you haven’t heard of Cadbury. They are the biggest chocolate producer in the UK and they produce several of our favorite chocolate bars from England, or elsewhere. What are our favorites? We cannot get enough of the Cadbury Flake. Until today we have yet to review a Cadbury Wispa, or even try one for that matter. So let’s get on with our review and take a closer look.
If you are unfamiliar with aerated chocolate, we suggest you get familiar immediately. We’ve done a few reviews on aerated chocolate before including the British Orange Aero Bar and the Bulgarian Nestle LZ White Chocolate. Basically an aerated chocolate bar is a chocolate injected with a gas to make an assortment of bubbles. It makes the bar less filling and fun to eat. The Cadbury Wispa is the first aerated chocolate bar that we’ve reviewed that only features tiny bubbles. All others have had large bubbles. The Wispa also has a thick milky chocolate coating all around. So if you are a chocolate lover, you’ll love chocolate on chocolate. So what do we think? We are not surprised, but we love the Cadbury Wispa. It’s rich, sweet, creamy, and fun to eat. The filling is light and fluffy, like an American 3 Musketeers Bar. So that’s our review of the Cadbury Wispa. You can buy this and other British Chocolate Bars online now. If you’d like to be kept up-to-date as we expand our international snack store we invite you to leave your details to the right. As always, keep on snacking world! 5-29-2014 UPDATE: While Writing this Review we sold out of Cadbury Wispa Bars. More soon! Have you ever had a snack from Bulgaria? Just two months ago we discovered the Nestle LZ White Chocolate. Although it wasn’t as sweet as we’d prefer, it was still a tasty foreign snack. Bulgaria is one of the 34 countries we have sampled snacks from over the past year and a half but we have yet to really take a close look at a variety of their snacks. So tonight we are back in Bulgaria as we review Ital Food’s My Motto Cookies.
It took a few bites to determine if we enjoyed these Bulgarian cookies or not. I personally kept trying to find flavor and eventually I did find what I was looking for. However, like the Nestle LZ White Chocolate the My Motto was not as sweet as a typical snack from the United States or elsewhere. Once my pallet adapted the cocoa and vanilla became very recognizable. The top layer of chocolate however was a little too waxy for my liking. That being said the wafer was just right. Overall it was a pleasant cookie, but not one that we MUST have on a regular basis. Will World of Snacks offer the My Motto cookie for sale in our international snack store? Bulgaria is on the short list of countries to be included this year and if it does make the cut there is a chance we will feature the My Motto for sale online in the US with shipping around the world. If you are new to our international snack blog, we are expanding our store by one country each month throughout 2014. Next month we will start to offer Filipino Snacks! If you’d like to be kept up-to-date be sure to sign up for emails to the right. As always, keep on snacking world! Tonight our international snack blog is once again heading to our neighbors to the north, Canada! Although several of our snack blog followers have reached out to tell us that Canadian and British Snacks are nearly identical, we’ve still managed to find some truly authentic snacks from the great up north to feature in our blog. Our snack under review tonight is from a company we have highlighted several times previously. We are talking about LB Maple Treat. Since they’ve given us a large selection of their maple-based snacks from Canada, we’ve really started to develop a craving for maple. So far we’ve reviewed their Maple Sugar Candies, Maple Butter, and Maple Cream Fudge. We’ve loved two out of the three; will tonight’s snack take us to 3 out of 4? Let’s take a closer look at their Canadian Maple Syrup Cream Cookies. Our sample under review contains 24 cookies and weighs in at 400 grams. Like many of the other snacks from LB Maple Treat the packaging is relevant, but doesn’t wow us. It is however very patriotic, it features a flag from Canada and both English and French text. In addition it boasts that these cookies are made from 100% maple syrup. Enough of how these cookies from Canada look, now onto the taste test! Something has happened since our last review of Canadian Maple Cream Fudge. The folks at LB Maple Treat were kind enough to send us two boxes of their fudge. The first we utilized for our initial review. The second we sent to my son’s school where he polled his 10-11 year old friends. We like the Canadian Maple Cream Fudge, but the kids loved it! They literally could not get enough, so when it was time to select our review panel for the Canadian Maple Syrup Cream Cookies we decide to include several children. What did they think? Both the kids and adults LOVED these Maple Syrup Cookies from Canada. Personally I though I was mapled out, but one bite and I was back in love. The cream is rich, sweet, and decadent. The cookies slightly bland, but that is what brings you back down to earth. I truly wasn’t ready for these and the kids again could not get enough! Will World of Snacks offer LB’s Canadian Maple Syrup Cream Cookies in our international snack store when we expand to include Canada? Right now we are not sure when and if we will add Canada, but if we do several of the snacks offered by LB Maple treat will be featured. If you are looking for the best snacks in the world, check out our international store. If you’d like to receive discounts and be notified as we add countries to our inventory be sure leave your details to the right. Keep on snacking world! Our goal at World of Snacks is to become the largest one-stop shop for international snacks. We spent our first year in business trekking through 34 different countries to locate the very best snacks in the world. Now in our second year of business, we have created our online international snack store. In January we started with snacks from England and each month this year we have and will continue to expand our inventory by one new country. Last month we added Japanese Snacks, or to be more precise Kit Kats from Japan. Instantly they’ve become a hit, so we are expanding to include all the rare an exotic flavors we can find. Tonight our review is of our newest addition to our Japanese Kit Kat store. Let’s take a look at the limited edition Japanese Citrus Kit Kat, or more formally the Kankitsu Ogon Blend. Chances are you are not able to translate Japanese. Well, they were kind of enough to translate right on the box. Kankitsu Ogon Blend translates into English as Citrus Golden Blend Flavor. Our sample comes in a very high-end box that contains 12 individually wrapped mini Kit Kat chocolate bars. The cover of the box features the Nestle Kit Kat logo (not Hershey as in the US) and in addition to a ton of Japanese writing it shows images of a slide orange, lemon, and lime. The individually wrapped mini Kit Kat bars are packaged to reflect the box. Overall we think the Japanese Citrus Blend Kit Kats look pretty classy. Let’s taste them and see if they really are classy… or at least delicious!
If you are one of our thousands of snack blog followers you know we tend to close with a determination if we will stock this snack or not in our online snack shop. Well, this one just arrived and if you want to try it (which you better) we have a few offered for sale. This is a very rare limited edition Kit Kat imported from Japan. So if white chocolate citrus sounds enticing got you, order the Citrus Golden Blend Kit Kat online now! If you’d like to be notified of our progress as we expand our store be sure to leave your details to the right. Keep on snacking world! Over the past year and a half World of Snacks has been exploring the World through food. We have sampled the best snacks from 34 separate countries located across the globe. Why are we doing this? We hope to offer the best snacks in the world for sale online with shipping from here in the US to all around the world. At the beginning of the year we opening our international snacks store and each month this year we plan to expand our inventory to include a new country and their best cookies, chocolates, sweets, and treats. One of the countries we added earlier this year is Germany. Tonight we are reviewing a German cookie! Although we’ve only been open a handful of months one cookie out of our German snack inventory has quickly become our best seller. The number one selling German cookie from World of Snacks is the Bahlsen Choco Leibniz Milk Chocolate Biscuits. Recently one of our customers suggested we try the Bahlsen Choco Leibniz Dark Chocolate Biscuits. Being we love our customers (and snacks), that’s exactly what we did! If you are unfamiliar with the Bahlsen brand from Germany, we suggest you get familiar real quick. They make some of the best cookies on the planet. Specializing in fine European biscuits and pairing them with rich chocolates, smooth creams, and sweet fruits, they are one cookie brand worth being familiar with. Our sample under review is the Bahlsen Choco Leibniz Dark Chocolate Biscuits 4.4oz box. This regal blue box contains 12 biscuits (cookies) that are covered in a thick dark chocolate, but only on one side. Let’s see how they taste. Just like the milk chocolate version, the Dark Chocolate Choco Leibniz cookies are awesome! The cookie portion of the snack is mild, crunchy, and just right. The chocolate is thick, firm, and well balanced. Overall this is one of our favorite cookies from Germany, or anywhere else in the world! It’s a perfect compliment to a hot cup of tea or a cold glass of milk. Will World of Snacks offer the Bahlsen Choco Leibniz Dark Chocolate Biscuits for sale online in our international snack store? We already do! We just added them yesterday and we have several more Bahlsen cookies on the way. If you’d like to stay up-to-date as we add new snacks and additional countries be sure to leave your details the right. As always, keep on snacking world! World of Snacks is on a mission to locate the very best cookies, chocolates, sweets, and chips from around the world. At the beginning of this year we started offering some of these best snacks that we have found for sale online in our international snack store. Each month this year we’ve added and will continue to add a new country and their best snacks. One of our recent additions is Mexico. Our review today is of a Mexican Chip produced by a company called Barcel.
We are reviewing the Chipotles Chipotle & Cheese Corn Chips that come in a 2.8oz bag. We do currently offer these Mexican Chips for sale online (among others). The bag is mostly black and has fiery red streaks throughout. Of course there is the Barcel logo followed by the name of the chips. Below there are two very odd shaped corn chips followed by two wedges of Swiss cheese and a fire roasted chipotle pepper. Now onto the taste test! Our taste test group was pretty diverse and all the responses were varied. Generally when we utilize a large sample group of testers we tend to see some patterns, however that was not the case this time. So our review of Barcel Chipotles Chipotle & Cheese Chips is from my sole perspective. The texture and shape of the chip was unique, and unlike anything in the US. The shape is clearly meant to resemble a chipotle pepper. The texture is firm, salty (but not too salty), and crisp. The color was redder than the image from the bag. The smell of the chips is zesty. My first impression of the flavor was it was a little weak and it left me wanting more. However, a few seconds later a slow warm burn followed, which although I have never experienced with a chip, I did enjoy. As I continued my sample the flavor grew even more enjoyable and notes of the creamy Swiss cheese began to become more apparent. Overall I was personally very pleased with this foreign snack. Well, that’s our review of Barcel Chipotles Chipotle & Cheese Chips. We’d love for you buy a few bags and let us know what you think! You can shop our full selection of Mexican Snacks online now and if you’d like to be notified when we expand our store please leave your details to the right. Keep on snacking world! Our international snack blog is dedicated to locating the very best snacks in the world. At the start of this year we began offering these foreign snacks for sale online. We started with cookies, cakes, chocolates, and chips from England and each month since we’ve added a new country. Just a few days ago we launched our snacks from Japan, featuring rare Japanese Kit Kats. Although we expand the products offered each month as we feature a new country, we do also continue to seek out additional snacks from the countries that are already included in our inventory. Tonight our review is of one such snack. We are reviewing Walkers Smoky Bacon Crisps.
Our sample came in a maroon colored bag. There is a big Walkers logo, which looks very similar to the US Lays logo. If you haven’t caught any of our other Walkers reviews, the reason they look similar is they are both owned by the same parent company. Under the logo a few potato chips with a half cut potato that read “home grown.” Below the chips and the potato it reads “Scrumptiously Smoky Bacon with Pork from Norfolk.” Let’s see how these British Crisps taste! Upon opening the bag we were hit with a potent whiff of bacon. It immediately made me think of the US salad topping, Bacon Bits. The smell was nearly dead on with the taste. The flavor is savory, slightly salty, and hosts a lingering smoky after taste. The chips were perfectly fried, and is superior to a typical Lays chip here in the States. Although the bacon flavor is not that of home cooked bacon and leans towards a more highly processed approach, we really love this snack! In fact, it’s among my favorite chips in the world! If you are one of our thousands of blog followers you know we tend to close with a determination if we will offer the reviewed snack for sale in our international snack store. Well, this snack was just added. So now you can buy Walkers Smoky Bacon Crisps online here in the US and have them shipped to you anywhere in the world! If you’d like to be kept up to date with new snacks we feature in our store and to receive special offers be sure to leave your details to the right. Keep on snacking world! Tonight we continue our mission to locate the best snacks in the world. Our international snack review is of The Flintstones Milch Schokoriegel or for those who speak English, The Flintstones Milk Chocolate Bar. The Flintstones Milch Schokoriegel is manufactured by one of our favorite international candy companies, Kinder. Kinder is German for child, but oddly enough, this brand is owned by the Italian snack company Ferrero. Kinder produces several candies that we offer in our international snack store, including the Kinder Riegel, which we believe this Flintstones chocolate bar is a version of. Let’s take a closer look.
Well we assumed this German (really Italian) candy bar was similar to the Kinder Riegel since it’s made by Kinder and actually says “Riegel” on the package. After the taste test we’ve come to realize it’s similar, but not exactly identical. In fact, just after our taste test we took a Kinder Riegel from our inventory to compare. The Flintstones Milch Schokoriegel is actually more sugary and less creamy than it’s similar counterpart. The chocolate bars themselves also look different. Why is this? We are not sure. There is very little information about this version of the Kinder bar anywhere. So we are assuming, since this sample did not come right from Germany, that it’s a version made for a different market. We did enjoy this foreign chocolate bar, but not as much as the bar we thought it was. Will World of Snacks offer The Flintstones Milch Schokoriegel in our Online German Snack Store? Not yet, but maybe for a limited run in the future. If you’d like to try some of our favorite Kinder chocolate snacks be sure to check out the German Chocolate section of our inventory. If you are looking for something a little more bold and equally as rare- check out our recent addition of Japanese Kit Kats. As always, keep on snacking world!
One of the reasons we decided to create our international snack blog was my personal love of British snacks. Finding snacks from England here in the United States isn’t always an easy thing. Well, earlier this year we decided to open an international snack store and started offering British Snacks for Sale online here in the US. Now we get to try all the British snacks and offer the very best for sale. One of my favorite British Chocolate Bars is the Cadbury Flake and our snack under review today looks like it’s a distant relative. So needless to say, I am personally ecstatic to be reviewing the Cadbury Twirl!
Oddly enough I was unfamiliar with the Cadbury Twirl prior to this review. What makes it odd is I lived in the UK for a decent amount of time as a child in 90s and this British snack has been offered for sale since the 70s. What’s even stranger, the Cadbury Twirl is the best-selling chocolate bar in the UK. Although I missed it in the UK, I will not miss it in our international snack store! So let’s take a closer look.
Our British Chocolate Bar under review comes in a shinny Cadbury purple wrapper. Their logo halos the “T” in the fun and very yellow “Twirl” text across the length of the bar. Their slogan is place along the width of the bar and reads “The Intense Chocolate Hit”. On the back, a bunch of normal necessary jargon and some text that reads “2 Milk Chocolate Fingers”, a term Cadbury likes to us often. But, unless you are blind you probably know all this, so onto our review of the Cadbury Twirl.
Well there you have it. World of Snacks endorses the Cadbury Flake over the Cadbury Twirl, although to be honest we love them both! Which do you prefer? We’d love to hear from you below. If you haven’t tried them, click the links above; we sell both the Flake and Twirl online here in the US with shipping around the world. If you are looking for something a little more exotic, check out our recent addition of Japanese Kit Kats. Each month this year we are expanding out international snack store by one country. If you’d like updates and coupons be sure to leave your details to the right. Keep on snacking world!
