Milka Raspberry Cookies

World of Snacks is on a mission to locate the best cookies, cakes, chocolates, candies, and gummies in the world. Why are we searching for junk food?  Of course we love it and we hope offer these foreign snacks for sale online.  So far our international snack store offers the best treats from 6 countries.  One of the featured countries is Germany and the snack under review todayis one we’ve recently added to our selection of German snacks. We are reviewing Milka Raspberry cookies!
Milka Raspberry Cookies
If you are a snack historian or love Milka like we do you may know that this confectionery brand was originally created by a Swiss Chocolatier. For a while it was a German company, now it’s owned by a snack conglomerate that started in the United States.  In addition to this, Milka is sold throughout Europe.  So for now we will classify this snack brand as German, but in the future will offer their snacks for sale in multiple countries sections.  Let’s take a closer look at this particular snack, the Milka Choco Dessert Raspberry cookies.
Milka ChocoDessert
Our sample of these Milka cookiea comes in trademark purple package and weighs in at 5.2oz, which we think is the perfect amount.  Not too much, not too little!  Of course the Milka logo and their well-known purple cow are located on the top left corner.  On the right, images that make you want to rip the re-sealable package right open.  They include two cookies, a handful of raspberries, a piece Milka of chocolate, and a large swirl of chocolate.  But unless someone is reading this to you, you can see that for yourself! Onto the taste test.
Milka Raspberry Jelly
To be honest we didn’t know Milka made cookies until recently.  We’ve reviewed many of their other chocolate snacks and when we found out there were Milka cookies we were ecstatic.  So needless to say we had our hopes set high.  So how do Milka Raspberry cookies tastes? We were not disappointed.  The cookie is soft and cake-like, the chocolate is for sure Milka brand chocolate, and then - there is jelly.  We did like the jelly, but it wasn’t what we thought it would be.  I personally imaged a soft and slightly sweet fruit filling.  However, it’s a very sweet gelatin.  It’s firm and potent.  It did catch us off guard a little, but in the end it takes the cookie from good to great.
Are you hungry?  You’re are in luck.   We offer the Milka Choco Dessert Raspberry Cookies and a similar orange flavor for sale here in the US with shipping around the world.   If you love snacks like we do be sure to leave your details on the right so we can keep you posted on our progress as we explore new countries and their cookies, cakes, chocolates, candies, and gummies.  As always, keep on snacking world!

Primola White Chocolate Bar

Less than a week ago we sampled a snack from our 35th country. Tonight we move our collective snacking experience to a grand total of 36 countries. Where in the World are we now? Romania! We are reviewing the Primola White Chocolate by Reteta Noua.
Primola White Chocolate Bar
"Overall it tastes like an average white chocolate bar from anywhere else in the world."
Primola is a luxury chocolate bar that comes in a variety of flavors and has been produced in Romania since 2001.  As you may have guessed, our version of the Primola is their white chocolate bar.  Let’s take a closer look.
The top of the bar contains the Reteta Noua logo, which is simply text on a red background.  Below the company logo is the brand logo, it shows a wispy mountain with the name “Primola” underneath followed the word “White” and “White Chocolate.”  The image shows milk and melted chocolate meeting and a piece of the Primola bar along the bottom.  Now onto the taste test!
This is our first Romanian snack so we had no idea what to expect and that’s a good thing.  This foreign chocolate bar tastes like white chocolate with a small hint of salt.  It’s very sweet and creamy and the consistency is only mildly waxy.  Overall it tastes like an average white chocolate bar from anywhere else in the world.  After sampling so many international snacks we hoped for something unique. Although it’s not unique, the Primola White Chocolate by Reteta Noua is enjoyable.
Will World of Snacks offer the Primola in our international snack store?  Not anytime soon.  We’d need a larger variety of Romanian Snacks to make it among our featured countries.  If this is your first time to our website, we are adding a new country to our inventory every month. The newest snacks offered for sale are Filipino Snacks.  What’s next?  Leave your details to the right and we will let you know.  Keep on snacking world!

Cheetos Fangs

We are snacking around the world and locating the best chips, cookies, candies, and sweets.  Why are we doing this?  In addition to loving international food we are also looking for inventory for our online snack store.  Each month in 2014 we are expanding our selection of the best snacks by one country.  One of the featured countries from earlier this year is Mexico.  We’ve just expanded our Mexican Snacks sold online to include several new items.  The snack under review today is one such snack.  Let’s take a look at Mexican Cheetos Fangs!
Cheetos Fangs
What the heck are Mexican Cheetos Fangs?  We know and love Cheetos in the United States but we have yet to encounter any snack that contains or is named after vampire teeth.  This snack from south of the border comes in a shiny purple bag.  The package reads “Cheetos Horneados Colmillos.”  It also has a fun drawing of Chester Cheetah dressed like Dracula.  The bag claims that it comes with a small pack of salsa to add to the fangs.  For our taste test we sampled two bags of Cheetos Fangs and both of ours did not include the sauce packet.  The chips themselves are dark red and do mildly resemble a fang. So how do these Mexican chips taste?
Mexican Cheetos
Cheetos Fangs Review
Cheetos Fangs are unique.  Which is generally not the opening statement you hope for when reviewing any type of food.  Unless of course you enjoy unique, which on occasion we do.  They pack a powerful tomato and vinegar punch. They hint to a salsa flavor but don’t get it just right.  These Cheetos are a tad spicy but we would like a little more spice.    At first most of our testers did not enjoy Cheetos Fangs.  However after consumption continued the unique flavor did grow on most involved.  Fortunately no one turned into a vampire.
World of Snacks offers Cheetos Horneados Colmillos for sale online. You can buy these and other Mexican Chips and have them shipped from our US based warehouse to anywhere in the world. If you’d like to be notified as we expand our international snacks store be sure to leave you details to the right.  Keep on snacking world!

Cerenat Palitos de Tarhui

6/10/2014

Comments

We’ve been away from our international snack blog for the last 10 days.  Why you ask?  We were adding a selection of Filipino Snacks to our online snack store!  Now that we are done with that it’s time for us to continue our search for the best snacks in the world and future inventory.  Tonight we are reviewing a snack from a new country; if you are playing along at home that means after this post we’ve reviewed snacks from 35 different countries!
Cerenat Palitos de Tarhui
"I personally struggled to come up with a description of the flavor.  Luckily our 11-year-old Director of Taste summed it up for us.  He said that Palitos de Tarhui tastes like the crust of a cooked American Pop Tart."
This mysterious 35th country is Bolivia!  The Bolivian company called Cerenat produces our snack under review.  Generally we are pretty successful in digging up some info on the producer of our foreign snacks but there is literally not a single thing on the entire Internet about Cerenat.  So what do we know about Cerenat?  Well they make this snack, that’s it.  So let’s get on with our review of Cerenat Palitos de Tarhui.
Our snack comes in a rather inexpensive and simple package.  There’s a clear pouch carrying a stack of what appears to be mini bread sticks.    The top is some color printed-paper. The left corner shows an orange globe with a sun blasting out of the world.  The artwork on the right shows a pair of hippy hikers.   Or course it also reads the name of our snack, “Cerenat Palitos de Tarhui”.  This translates to sticks of Tarhui, from what we can tell means sticks of the Tarhui seeds.  Lets see how this Bolivian treat tastes!
We’ve been fortune enough to try a variety of the best snacks in the world, and although we don’t think this is one of them, it’s still pretty enjoyable.  The consistency caught us off guard.  It’s very thick and when chewed turns paste-like but quickly dissolves.  I personally struggled to come up with a description of the flavor.  Luckily our 11-year-old Director of Taste summed it up for us.  He said that Palitos de Tarhui tastes like the crust of a cooked American Pop Tart.  He hit the nail on the head.  Although the flavor is mild, this snacks is pretty addicting.
Bolivian snacks
Will World of Snacks offer the Cerenat Palitos de Tarhui for sale online in our international snack store?  Maybe in the distant future.  We’d have to locate a variety of Bolivian snacks and that may take some time.  So if you are seeking international snacks, you’ll have to settle with our current offering.  We are going to expand our inventory every month this year, so be sure to check back often!
