Cadbury Flake Chocolate Bar

We are racing through England and reviewing a total of 31 British Snacks this month.  Starting January 1st you will be able to buy these British Snacks Online and have them shipped to you here in the US or worldwide.  Each month following, we will add a new country and their cookies, cakes, chips, chocolates, and sweets to our international snack website.  Today we are reviewing one of our favorite candy bars from England, the Cadbury Flake.

For our social followers you may recall we have produced a couple of videos staring the Cadbury Flake.  The first was created by our 11 year old Director of Taste and it was his personal review.  The second video was our first cooking show highlighting our recipe for Cadbury Flake Chocolate Chip Cookies.  Today, World of Snacks is doing an old-fashioned product examination and review.  So let’s take a look at our chocolate bar from England.

The Cadbury Flake Chocolate Bar comes is a bright yellow wrapper and has the world famous Cadbury logo and the word “Flake” spelled out in the same color.  Above the word Flake it reads “The Crumbliest Flakiest Milk Chocolate.”  Overall it’s an iconic look that hasn’t changed much in recent history.  Enough of how it looks, how does the Cadbury Flake taste?

I have a confession.  One of the main reasons we started World of Snacks and our international snack blog was to be able to locate Cadbury Flakes in the US.  This is by far one of my personal favorites and finding them in Florida is nearly impossible.  So now that’s out of the way, let’s get to the taste test.  The bar is folded milk chocolate and is indeed “The Crumbliest Flakiest Milk Chocolate.”  The chocolate is creamy and the layered texture gives it a firm almost crunch that falls apart in your mouth.  It’s sweet but not overpowering and it’s definitely not waxy like many American chocolate bars.  Overall, as you may have guesses, I love it and so did our other taste-testers.
