In just a few days we will launch our German section of our international snack store. Each month this year we will expand our online snack shop to include a new country and their best chocolates, cookies, candies, and chips. So far this year we have included both British Snacks and American Snacks for Export. What country will come next? We are not so sure, that’s why we are touring the world looking for unique and delicious snacks. Today our international snack blog is in Bulgaria, a county we really have not spent much time snacking in. Just over a year ago we took a look at the Hazelnut Cream Kit Kat from Bulgaria, but being that sweet treat is offered nearly around the world, we feel like this review is of our first true Bulgarian Snack. So let’s take a look at the Nestle LZ White Chocolate. Our Bulgarian snack under review comes in a red package, with the trademark red Nestle logo in the upper left hand corner. Underneath, some bubbled white chocolate letters reading “LZ” followed by some letter that are very foreign looking to us, we can only assume it’s Bulgarian. Interestingly enough, the letters LZ are the abbreviation used for international flights in Bulgaria. The rest of the package hosts white bubbles, which we later found out, alludes to the aerated process the white chocolate goes through to create this foreign chocolate bar.
Upon opening this snack we are greeted with a white multi-section chocolate bar. It looks pleasant enough, but a little generic compared to other snacks we have recently reviewed. It’s also rather light, so it feels a little strange too. I am personally a big fan of white chocolate, so I couldn’t wait to taste this candy bar! The flavor of the chocolate was not typical of white chocolate bars in the US, it was far less sweet. It initially made me crave more sweetness, but after a few pieces I learned to love the Nestle LZ White Chocolate. One of our testers mentioned the lack of sugar made them feel like this was not as bad (unhealthy) for you as an American counterpart. Being no one involved reads Bulgarian and there wasn’t much online I am not able to determine if that is true or not. To me personally, it doesn’t matter. I like the Nestle LZ White Chocolate Bar! The big question, will World of Snacks offer the Nestle LZ from Bulgaria when our international snack store expands? When we do grow to include Bulgarian snacks there is a strong chance we will offer the LZ White and the other flavors in our inventory available for purchase online. If you’d like to be notified when we expand to include snacks like this and others from around the world be sure to leave your details to the right. Keep on snacking world!
