Yan Yan Chocolate Cream Dip by Meiji

Get ready we are heading back to Asia for this week's international snack review.  Although we've traveled through flavors all across the Asian content and it's surrounding islands, this is our first visit to Singapore.  However, we are reviewing a snack that is manufactured in Singapore, by a company we already know is Japanese owned company.  So let's take a look at his Singaporean/Japanese snack.

Our international snack is manufactured by a company called Meiji.  One of our very first foreign snack articles was about Meiji's Hello Panda Biscuits, and now we are taking a look at another one of our favorites, Yan Yan Chocolate Cream Dip.  Meiji is a confectionary company as well as a pharmaceutical outfit, a strange mix for a snack brand, but as long as our treats taste good, they can sell anything else they want!

Although Yan Yan is from a country World of Snacks has yet to visit, our review panel is very familiar with the product.  In fact, this foreign snack food is one we have stocked in our household in the past.  With the diverse make up of our family, you can image we have an interesting pantry.  Yan Yan is loved by many Asian-Americans as well as many other cultures all across the globe. Yan Yan Chocolate Cream Dip comes in a reddish-orange cylinder and has a peel off top.  Once open, there is a compartment of chocolate suspended above and to the side of a container of stick looking cookies, or better known internationally as biscuits.  Each stick like biscuit features a fortune, making them entertaining and edible at the same time.

If you are taking time to read this review of Yan Yan Chocolate Cream Dip then chances are you are wondering what they taste like, or where you can purchase some of your own.  Don't worry, we will fill you in on both.  First off the taste is great!  The biscuit is only semi-sweet, and has a borderline cracker flavor and texture to it.  The chocolate dip is where the sweetness of this treat comes in, and for people who prefer a less intense sweetness, they'll enjoy the subtle sugar kick as well as the creamy chocolate.
