World of Snacks is in search of the best snacks in the world. Our travels have taken us through dozens of countries and our international snack store now offers treats from 8 different countries. Our plan is to include several more countries by the end of the year. We utilize our international snack blog to review treats that we are considering adding to our store. Tonight snack is a cookie (or should we say biscuit) from England. We are reviewing Cadbury Dairy Milk Biscuits.
The second these biscuits arrived from England we ripped the package right open. Rich Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate on a biscuit! This snack did not disappoint us. The chocolate is indeed what it says it is. It’s thick and rich. The inner biscuit is sweet, crunchy, and an absolute compliment to the chocolate. We love the Cadbury Dairy Milk Biscuits! Better than the Yorkie Biscuits? It’s too soon to say. Will World of Snacks offer the Cadbury Dairy Milk Biscuits for sale in the US in our snack store? Yes, in the very near future you will be able to buy these online and have them shipped to you anywhere in the world! If you’d like to be notified when they arrive and to receive special offers be sure to leave your details to the right. As always, keep on snacking world!

Just a few months back we expanded our international snack store to include some exciting cakes from Italy. So far we’ve only had a chance to review one, the Balconi Tiramisu. Although we’ve found time to sample one Italian cake several have quickly become best sellers. So today we are reviewing another cake from Italy, let’s take a look at the Balconi Mix Max Coconut Cakes. Our sample under review comes in a 10-pack but being our specialty is shipping the best snacks in the world to everywhere in the world, we offer these foreign cakes for sale individually. The 10-pack packaging is colorful and it gives us an idea of what we are sampling. It shows a chocolate cake, with a chocolate coating, covered in coconut flakes. You can also tell from the main image it has a cream center. Of course the Balconi logo is on the package, and in chocolaty writing, “Mix Max coconuts”. The individual piece comes in a clear sealed package, and is not as exciting to look at. Do you really care what the package looks like? On to the taste test! The last cake from Balconi we sampled blew us away. It was a full size cake and among the first we’ve encountered that is presented this way. So our hopes were high for this coconut snack cake. Unfortunately we were not wowed with the Mix Max as we were to the Tiramisu. The cake was fluffy, the chocolate creamy, but the coconut tasted too processed for our likes. Overall the snack was enjoyable, but not epic. It seemed like something Little Debbie in the US would produce. Well there you have it. The Balconi Mix Max is good, but not great. We’d love to see if you agree with us. If you do buy one, be sure to leave your feedback below and on your next order we will send you an extra snack! Until next time, keep on snacking world!
Today our exploration through the best candy in the world takes us to Japan. We’ve offered a nice selection of Japanese Kit Kats for sale in the US in our international snack store. They’ve been a strong seller and foreign Kit Kats are part of the reason we started World of Snacks, so needless to say we are excited for a chance to review this Japanese Kit Kat. However, we are sad to learn that once our stock is sold out the Japanese Rum Raisin Kit Kats will no longer be produced by Nestle. So if you are thinking about giving these a try, now is the time to do so! Let’s take a closer look. The Japanese Rum Raisin Kit Kats come in very upscale box featuring 12 mini bars. At one time we offered the entire box sets for sale but with limited stock and high demand we’ve had to offer the mini bars individually. Not to mention the box sets are very pricey! Anyway, the packaging reflects the price. The mini bars are sky blue trimmed in a darker blue. The center features a red Nestle Kit Kat logo and there is a pile of raisins in the corner next to glass with rum in it. Now onto the taste test of the Japanese Rum Raisin Kit Kats. We’ve been fortunate to test a variety of Kit Kats from Japan and elsewhere in the world. So far we have not found a Kit Kat that we did not love. The Japanese Kit Kats are among some of the most flavorful and delicious snacks we’ve ever encountered. So does this foreign Kit Kat fall in line with the rest? Yes! It’s so good it’s nearly unbelievable. Nestle has nailed the Rum Raisin flavor, all the way down to the after burn of rum. The chocolate is so creamy and smooth, the wafer is crisp as always, but the rum raisin combo is beyond perfect. I know it sounds like we are trying to sell you but to be honest we hope you don’t buy any, we want to keep them for ourselves! As mentioned our stock of this Japanese Kit Kats is among the last offered for sale. Several other of the limited edition Kit Kats are on their way out. Not to worry, we do have some other exciting flavors on the way and we’ve just received a shipment of Pumpkin Pudding Kit Kats that are perfect for Halloween! In addition to offering Kit Kats from Japan here in the US we are expanding our Japanese Snack selection to include a variety of items in the next few weeks. If you’d like to stay up-to-date with our specials and international snacks be sure to leave your details to the right. Keep on snacking world! World of Snacks started as a foreign snack blog about 2 years ago. The goal of the blog was to catalog our exploration of the best cookies, cakes, chips, and candy from around the world. This year we launched our international snack store to compliment our blog and we have been slowly expanding our selection of foreign snacks for sale online. We now offer the best snacks from a total of 7 countries and an 8th country is on the way next month! Tonight we are reviewing a new Mexican snack that has just been added to our store. Our review is of Ricolino Huevitos! This is not our first Snack from Mexico manufactured by Ricolino. We actually offer several and one of our best selling Mexican Snacks is the Ricolino Duvalin Hazelnut and Vanilla Candy. We already know we love Duvalin so let’s see what our team thinks of Huevitos. Let’s take a closer look. Our sample under review weighs in at 60 grams. It comes in a shinny yellow bag with the Ricolino logo on the left upper corner followed by a fun “Huevitos” that substitutes the “o” for an egg. Below is a clear window that shows a large amount of small white eggs. Some of the candy eggs are spotted, others are not. Under the see-through window it reads “Candy Coated Chocolate Flavor Eggs.” Now onto the taste test! To be honest we did not intend to do our review tonight on this snack. We actually have a ton of Korean Snacks to get through prior to our expansion (which will include these) taking place next month. However when our shipment arrived and we saw these intriguing chocolate eggs we decided to move them up the list. We thought we had an idea of what to expect but all our testers were wrong! We figured this Mexican snack would have a crunchy thin shell with a gooey chocolate center. Wrong! It’s a thicker shell that sort of tastes like the American Tic Tacs mint. Not at all what we thought we’d be sampling. The inside wasn’t gooey chocolate either. It was a firm chocolate cake, more like a brownie! So what did our reviewers think? For the most part this snack was a success. However not everyone loved them. Everyone agrees though, the Ricolino Huevitos is sweet and highly addicting. You will be able to buy this snack online here in the US and have it shipped anywhere in the world later this week. Until then check out our large selection of the best Mexican Snacks. If you’d like a special coupon for our upcoming expansion of Korean Snacks be sure to leave your details to the right. As always, keep on snacking world! Update: Ricolino Huevitos is now offered in our international snack store.
Our first impression- they are nearly irresistible! They chocolate is creamy and just a tad sweet. It’s a rich dark chocolate. The crispy rice puffs are very small, unlike any other rice puffs we’ve encountered in international candy. So needless to say the taste of this Belgian snack is delicious, however it’s the texture that has us enthralled. The “thins” similar to small Pringle style chips but made entirely of dark chocolate. The chocolates are very thin and crisp. The back of the package shows the Belgian Dark Chocolate Thins used as a topping on ice cream and a cupcake, we have to agree with Royal Chocolates- these would be an ideal topping to take your treats the next level. At the beginning of the year we launched our international snack store. Through out 2014 we’ve expanded the store to include the best snacks from several countries. Our goal is to include a total of 12 countries in our normal inventory. Will World of Snacks offer Belgian Dark Chocolate Thins in our international snacks store? It’s to soon to tell. We need to try a few more Belgian snacks to make that determination. One thing is for sure though; if we do offer Belgian snacks for sale online we will absolutely offer several of Royal Chocolates Thins! If you’d like to stay in touch as we add new inventory be sure to leave your details to the right. Keep on snacking world! It’s Sunday fun day and we are continuing our search for the very best snacks in the world. Last week we tried something sweet, the Dora3 Crema Cocoa Croissants. So today we thought we’d go with a foreign salty snack. We are reviewing Best Foods Lotto Pizza Snack from Romania. Our last snack out of Romania was the Primola White Chocolate Bar and it was only average at best. Let’s take a closer look at this week's snack and see if it’s any better!
Upon opening the bag we were greeted with a whiff of what smelled a little like stale cat food. Not at all appetizing and left us a little uneasy about what exactly we’d be snacking on today. With our no snack left un-tasted policy we dove in anyway. We are glad we did too! The flavor is very unique. It’s definitely pizza, but not a US style pizza. We are assuming Best Foods nailed Romanian Pizza. You get a strong dough flavor and the green peppers are the most prevalent topping. We also noticed a hint of mushroom, which oddly enough is not on the package. Either way it’s bursting with a pleasant and appetizing flavor, which overtakes the original smell. In addition to a good taste we also enjoyed the texture. They are shaped like small Funyuns but they are much lighter and dissolve in your mouth. So far this year we’ve expanded our international snack store to include the best snacks from 7 different countries. We are currently searching for an 8th country to include in our inventory. Romania is on the list, but we are not sure when and if we will stock Romanian snacks. If we do, you will absolutely be able to buy Lotto Pizza Chips online in the US and have them shipped around the world. If you are hungry for snacks now be sure to check out our store! Earlier this month World of Snacks launched it’s first round of Italian Snacks offered for sale in the US with international shipping to nearly everywhere. Our selection of snacks from Italy for sale online includes cookies, cakes, and chocolates. We initially set out to create World of Snacks so we could locate and sample unique snacks from around the globe. Tonight we are sampling our very first croissant snack! Our snack under review is the Dora3 Crema Cocoa Croissants. Dora3 is a brand owned by the Italian confectionery company Antonelli. It appears from our research the same snack is offered under each label. In some markets this snack is marketed as Antonelli Crema Cocoa Croissants. Unfortunately our research turned up little else about either Dora3 or Antonelli. So let’s move along and take a closer look these packaged Crema Cocoa Croissants. Our snack under review comes in a sky blue cloud-like wrapper. The snack weighs in at 50 grams or 1.76 ounces, depending on your preference. Dora3’s logo is simple; it’s a white oval with some wheat thrown about behind it. Below the Dora3 logo the package reads “croissant di pastasfoglia – puff pastry.” To the right there is a picture of a croissant packed with an abundance of chocolate filing as well as a wooden container offering even more chocolate. Along the bottom of the package it reads, “Crema Cacao with Custard Cocoa Filling”. Now onto the taste test of this Italian baked good. To be honest this unique snack had us intrigued from the beginning. A pre-packaged croissant snack is unheard of in the US, or really in any other country we have explored. The problem with offering a croissant this way is it’s typically fresh baked, and how long can it last? Well, Dora3 is working some sort of magic. The shelf life of the Crema Cocoa Croissants is quite long yet they manage somehow to still offer a fresh baked snack taste. Our testers were pleasantly surprised to sample a fluffy baked good. Although I personally prefer my croissants to be more flaky and buttery, this snack did not have a stale taste that I would have assumed would be apparent. It did however lack the abundance of chocolate pictured on the wrapper. There was very little chocolate filling and if the pastry portion wasn’t pleasant we doubt we would have enjoyed this snack. Overall it was enjoyable, but has room for improvement. If you want to order the Dora3 Crema Cocoa Croissants to sample yourself, you better do it now! Although we do offer this snack for sale in the US, we are not sure if we will restock our supply. Looking for other Italian Snacks that we do love? Check out our Italian offerings in our international snack store. As always, keep on snacking world! At World of Snacks we’ve been lucky enough to sample the best cookies, cakes, candies, chocolates, and treats from around the world. One snack item that we’ve failed to give enough attention to is drinks. We are still trying to decide if we will actually offer drinks in our international snack store. While we explore the logistics of offering foreign drinks for sale in the US we plan on at least sampling a few for review here on our blog. So today we are looking at the Nestle Milo Energy Drink.
Our version of the Nestle Milk Energy Drink comes in a shiny green can, about the size of a normal US Red Bull Energy Drink. The Nestle logo is in the top corner just above the Milo logo. Below the can reads “Chocolate Nutritional Energy Drink.” The middle of the can shows an athlete of some sort, maybe cricket or football (soccer), wearing a Milo uniform. The bottom right corner mentions that the drink contains vitamins and minerals. Now onto the taste test portion of our review. Personally I tend to avoid energy drinks. I do enjoy coffee and a little caffeine on occasion but for the most part I prefer other beverages. So for the review of the Nestle Milo Energy Drink I consulted with several serious energy drink enthusiasts. My personal experience was very enjoyable. It tastes a lot like another Nestle product known as Ovaltine. It hints towards a watered down chocolate milk with a little boost of energy. So what did our panel of experts think? They all enjoyed it too, not one negative comment! So will World of Snacks offer Nestle Milo Energy Drink for sale in the US? We still don’t know! Once we do we will be sure to let everyone know. Be sure to leave your details to the right and we will update you if we add this snack and as we add others from around the world. Until then be sure to check out our International Snack Store! World of Snacks is on a mission to locate the best international snacks. Why are we doing this? We are working on building the largest international snack store in the world. So far we’ve reviewed the best cookies, candies, cakes, and treats from 36 countries. Today, we are moving onto our 37th country and in honor of the World Cup, we are reviewing our very first Brazilian Snack. Bauducco produces our sweet treat under review. This snack company from Brazil is the largest manufacture of baked goods and produces panettones, biscuits, cookies, toasts, cakes, mini cakes, and chocolates. Our first encounter with Bauducco is with one of their wafer cookies. Let’s take a look at Bauducco Selects Dolce de Leche. Our sample of Bauducco wafer cookies comes in a mustard yellow wrapper weighing in at 4.94oz. The Bauducco logo is on a red background and looks a little healthy for a cookie. Underneath the logo, “Selects wafer Dulche de Leche.” Overall the presentation of the Brazilian Snack looks a little high-end, and we like it. However, we don’t buy snacks for the wrappers, so let’s move onto the taste test! Before we complete our review of Bauducco Selects Dolce de Leche I have to admit that my favorite snack as a child was Dolce de Leche, so when I saw that we were receiving a wafer cookie that contained layers of dolce de leche I was ecstatic. Unfamiliar with the Bauducco brand I was unsure if they’d pull it off. So how did they do? Decent. The wafer is crisp and extra light. The dolce de leche is sweet but only lightly flavored. Overall our testers enjoyed these Brazilian cookies but I personally hoped for more flavor. Will World of Snacks offer Bauducco Selects Dolce de Leche for sale online? Chances are we will. We hope to offer a range of Brazilian Snacks in our international snack store by the end of the year. Looking to buy foreign snacks right now? We just added our first round of Italian Snacks to our store. Enjoy! World of Snacks is on a mission to locate the best cookies, cakes, chocolates, candies, and gummies in the world. Why are we searching for junk food? Of course we love it and we hope offer these foreign snacks for sale online. So far our international snack store offers the best treats from 6 countries. One of the featured countries is Germany and the snack under review todayis one we’ve recently added to our selection of German snacks. We are reviewing Milka Raspberry cookies! If you are a snack historian or love Milka like we do you may know that this confectionery brand was originally created by a Swiss Chocolatier. For a while it was a German company, now it’s owned by a snack conglomerate that started in the United States. In addition to this, Milka is sold throughout Europe. So for now we will classify this snack brand as German, but in the future will offer their snacks for sale in multiple countries sections. Let’s take a closer look at this particular snack, the Milka Choco Dessert Raspberry cookies. Our sample of these Milka cookiea comes in trademark purple package and weighs in at 5.2oz, which we think is the perfect amount. Not too much, not too little! Of course the Milka logo and their well-known purple cow are located on the top left corner. On the right, images that make you want to rip the re-sealable package right open. They include two cookies, a handful of raspberries, a piece Milka of chocolate, and a large swirl of chocolate. But unless someone is reading this to you, you can see that for yourself! Onto the taste test. To be honest we didn’t know Milka made cookies until recently. We’ve reviewed many of their other chocolate snacks and when we found out there were Milka cookies we were ecstatic. So needless to say we had our hopes set high. So how do Milka Raspberry cookies tastes? We were not disappointed. The cookie is soft and cake-like, the chocolate is for sure Milka brand chocolate, and then - there is jelly. We did like the jelly, but it wasn’t what we thought it would be. I personally imaged a soft and slightly sweet fruit filling. However, it’s a very sweet gelatin. It’s firm and potent. It did catch us off guard a little, but in the end it takes the cookie from good to great. Are you hungry? You’re are in luck. We offer the Milka Choco Dessert Raspberry Cookies and a similar orange flavor for sale here in the US with shipping around the world. If you love snacks like we do be sure to leave your details on the right so we can keep you posted on our progress as we explore new countries and their cookies, cakes, chocolates, candies, and gummies. As always, keep on snacking world! |
